Medical Equipment Simulation Project

Modeling a Specialized Process Flow

On this project, the client was a medical device company that develops and manufactures devices and therapies to treat various chronic diseases. PMC offered a discrete-event simulation model to evaluate the design of a current production line, identify operator and resource requirements, analyze the impact of maintenance or equipment downtime on production, and calculate the effect of changeovers and buffer capacities on batch and schedule lead time.

Ultimately, PMC was able to provide a plan for allocating resources on different work stations, and for supporting the facility's long-term strategy for capacity expansion.

Please refer to our case study for additional information.

Customer Feedback

“Your engineering team provided a well organized effort in capturing difficult parameters within a hospital environment.  By constructing a graphic model, we were able to visualize patient traffic, and determine several operational conditions.”
Global EPCM firm Business Leader, Health Care Studio

“This is just a quick letter to let you know how personally pleased I am with the results of our recent project.  [PMC engineer] provided us with a first rate model that was an important part of [our company] receiving a large Purchase Order from [a major automotive OEM] to build the project that had been modeled.”
World-wide supplier of Assembly and Test Equipment, Proposal Manager
